Finding local products isn’t easy. That’s
why Eat Local Sudbury is offering you the
chance to take part in an organized buying
club!
Receive periodic emails detailing a number
of products that you can purchase. Fill out
the order form and send it back to Eat Local
Sudbury. Then pick up your goods at the
arranged time and place. Orders must be paid
for at time of pick up and everyone placing
an order splits the shipping costs.

The last club included
products such as meat, cranberries,
cranberry juice, peanut butter, cooking
oils, flour, and much more.
Plus a late addition: Organic
Black Turtle Beans from LoonSong Garden, The
beans were $2/lbs and came in 2lbs bags. Each
bag contained approximately 4 ½ cups of
beans.

Cranberries and Cranberry
Juice
Johnston’s Cranberries is located in Bala,
Ontario. It is a family run farm that has
been in operation since 1952. They grow all
their own cranberries and do all their own
processing. Cranberries are available in 2kg
bags and cases of 24X12oz bags. 100% pure
cranberry juice is available in 1L bottles.
“Our Pure Cranberry Juice is what you get
when you squeeze a cranberry. It's not
concentrated; it's just pure, undiluted,
unsweetened juice. You dilute and sweeten it
yourself. Our favourite way to drink it is
to put an ounce or two in a sport bottle of
water. A wonderful, healthy work out drink!”
Burt Farm offers a wide variety of cuts of
beef, pork, turkey and lamb as well as
processed meats like smoked meat, pepperoni,
sausages, etc. All meat is raised and
processed (butchered) right on Burt Farm.
The meat is free of growth hormones and
sub-therapeutic antibiotics and is processed
on farm under full government inspection.
Further processed meats are free of MSG and
colour enhancers.

Dalew Farms
Dalew Farms is owned and operated by Dave
and Chantal Lewington in Lavigne, Ontario.
They use absolutely no chemicals or
artificial fertilizers, and all of their
animals are raised on pasture during the
spring, summer and fall. Their farm has been
free of chemicals and fertilizers for more
than 3 years. Dalew Farms is offering a
large list of products including meat, eggs,
Mapleton’s Organic Ice Cream, baked goods
(all baked goods made with Terza Farms stone
ground flour), Stone Ground Flour from Terza
Farms, and honey from Creekbend Farms.

More than 150 mile
products...
At Eat Local Sudbury we try to purchase as
much food and food products as we can from
within a 150 mile radius. But we realize
that there are just some essential products
that can’t be grown in a northern climate.
So we opt for the next best thing, and
source that product from as close to Sudbury
as possible. Two such products are cooking
oils and peanut butter.
Canola and Soybean Oil -
Persall Naturals
Persall Naturals is a company based in
Waterford Ontario. They sell both Soybean
and Canola Oils.
“Our product line, Pristine Oils is
extracted, processed and packaged at our
plant in Ontario, Canada. We go to great
lengths in providing the highest quality oil
products available. For example, we select
only the highest graded oilseeds available,
and unlike other commercially refined oils,
our oil is cold pressed without the use of
chemicals, solvents or preservatives. It’s
good for you, and the environment.”
An order was placed for both soybean and
canola oil in 375ml and 750ml bottles.
Peanuts and Peanut Butter
Kernal Peanuts “is owned and operated by
Ernie and Nancy Racz of Vittoria, Ontario.
The company is situated on the Racz family
farm on Norfolk Road 58, about ½ mile south
of Vittoria, Ontario. Today, the family farm
outside Vittoria houses a peanut
manufacturing, wholesale and retail
operation. Kernal Peanuts Limited grows
Valencia peanuts, then harvests and
processes them for a number of products.”
Kernal Peanuts peanut butter is made from
100% redskin peanuts and has no added
preservatives.
